In this new episode, we take a step back and look at engineering as a whole, by considering its human and environmental aspects. Birgit FREMAULT dives into the dimensions that lie at the very core of the projects led by Tractebel: those that raise questions about sustainability and about how a project becomes embedded in a community, a territory, and more broadly, in a shared history. She talks about the importance of being the link between people and projects, and of selecting solutions that benefit everyone in the long term.

Look at the whole picture from the start. A project can be brilliant on paper, but if people don’t accept it, it won’t work. So listen to them. Try to understand what others worry about, and don’t be afraid to adjust your plan. In the end, the best projects are the ones that work for people and for the planet — all together.
